House GOP escalates war on Justice Dept. as members flock to Trump trial

Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and James Comer (R-Ky.) pilloried the White House and the Justice Department, their committees were hobbled by attendance problems: At least five members were in New York on Thursday morning, standing behind former president Donald Trump at his criminal trial and inserting themselves, and their political views, into the same justice system the two chairmen claimed to be defending from politicization.
