Poland has activated its fighter jets to protect its airspace in response to the escalating missile attacks from Russia on Ukraine. A Polish government statement said the jets had been put on standby to “defend against the threat of attack, and…..should any dangerous situation arise.” Poland has increased surveillance of its airspace amid reports from the US military of Russian airspace violations near the Polish border. It has also requested additional personnel from NATO to help patrol the skies.
